Bellville Stud is located in Galway on the West coast of Ireland near the Medieval Town of Athenry. Where the land is rich in limestone and surrounded by natural stone walls in tranquil rural countryside. It is also the home of our Connemara ponies.

 
   At Bellville Stud all our Class 1 Connemara ponies live outdoors and run freely together in a natural environment. Their excellent temperament makes them easy to handle and they don't have any stable vices. Our aim is to produce high quality Connemara ponies from famous old bloodlines with good movement, correct confirmation and temperament to match, making them easy to train in any discipline.
 
 

We hope to accomplish this through our breeding programme which is based on the good bloodlines of our Mares and unique bloodlines of our stallion Lonsdale Legend.

With our website we hope to keep you up to date with information about our Stallion, breeding Mares and foals.

  Lonsdale Legend
 

connemara ponyLegend arrived 17th March 2007 all the way from New Zealand. He is a wonderful stallion whose temperament is second to none. The only stallion by Spinway Comet currently standing in Ireland.

Legend has been jumping this year and has accumulated 75 SJI points so far.
